Hot on the heels of the release of ‘Big Ideas’, we wanted to find a way to properly introduce our new guitarist Andy Nicholson to the fold.

On 7th January we hunkered down at Brendan’s place and recorded audio and video for an EP featuring acoustic versions of four songs (one from from each of our four studio albums), ably assisted by Andrew Taylor. We’re now proud to present the fruits of our labour - the ‘Through The Hurricane’ EP, available exclusively through Bandcamp.

Whilst we’re still surrounded by political and economic turmoil, the EP title (taken from a lyric in the song ‘Tourist In My Hometown’) speaks of the palpable feeling of relief and solidarity coming out the other side of the Covid pandemic - and in overcoming the challenges we faced in finishing the ‘Big Ideas’ album. Here we remain; resolutely positive and ready for the next chapter in the band’s history.

The EP features an extended, country-fried version of (possibly the only country tune about an albino gorilla) ‘Snowflake’, a downbeat take on ‘Whatever It Takes’, a fresh run through of ‘The End Of The Golden Age’, and the aforementioned ‘Tourist In My Hometown’. We hope you like it!
